God's Guidance

Matthew 7:7 ESV

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 

*If we don't ask, we can't receive an answer. If we don't seek, we can't find what we need or desire. Lastly, if we don't knock on the doors God places in front of us, we can't figure out which one is truly for us. Don't be afraid to move through life,  but do so in accordance to God's guidance, and not based on your previous experience or own understanding. Every door is not meant to be walked through. Also notice that God is really giving instructions here as to how to guide you:You first need to ask Him, then you seek the answer based on the info He gives you,  and then He guides you with that info on where to go. The word is full of steps.. Are you adhering to them,  or leaning to your own understanding?

Read the Entire Chapter-What are You Running From?

Then the Lord said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand. “This,” said the Lord , “is so that they may believe that the Lord , the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”

*We have the tools that can aid us in God's will and purpose for our lives. We just have to be willing to use them,  and not be complacent. Many times people are so in fear, or are too busy dwelling on what they don't have, that they don't see what God is willing to do for you or what He has placed in front of you. Don't be more reliant on things and people outside of His will, more so than stepping out on faith. We are more than what the trap of the comfort from complacency. What are you giving into, settling for, or running from vs what God wants you to do?

Oh, How He Loves Us

"Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel"(which means, God with us). 

*God loves you so much that His son was born to not just save you, but connect with you. God understood us inside and out prior to coming to this world, but He loved us so much that He desired to be relatable to us.  Even after the resurrection and leaving the Holy Spirit, He promised to never leave us no matter what you do. I personally don't know your circumstance or heart this Christmas, but I do know that God can soften it, change things around for you, and alleviate you if you trust in Him more and follow Him. He has been my best friend since I let Him in and truly followed Him, and I wouldn't trade the connection for anything in the world. We all could stand to become closer to Him. Will you meditate on how much He is there for you this Christmas season?

*When we move from this life to the next, one of the measures of our eternity is based on how much we loved.  Notice when you love people, it overshadows the negativity. Love is a powerful tool, and can change any dynamic... Even the hardest battles connected to the worst individuals. It can also be one of the greatest gifts. I know I continue to grow into this area,  and sometimes it can be challenging. Take the time to think about how you love, or if it's done according to God's will. How is your love walk this holiday season?

Sometimes doing what is right isn't a walk in the park... It takes strength, courage, and allowing your spirit to take over..particularly when the person or scenario isn't being too kind to you. Yet, God sees the unjust of the situation, and that you are doing His will when you don't stoop to the level of the injustice. God is here to fight our battles, comfort us when we are upset, and send the right people to encourage us. You are actually acting as an encourager when you are obedient in doing the right thing by faith. Hold on to what you know is right, and don't let others change what God has put in you.

His Will

I think many times we assume that God knows what we want,  we ask one time and let the be the end of it, or we ask things outside His will and become upset when it isn't received. The first measure in obtaining a desire is knowing whether it lines up with the word of God.  Then, ask Him to come into your life and show you what His will is for your desire as you ask for it. What we expect may not be what we should be looking for... Most importantly, don't give up. Keep asking until you receive an answer.

*It's easy to become antsy when you desire change or the element of something more deeply. However, allow that anxiety to turn into a fuel that sparks the desire to discuss how you feel with God. We have to learn to let go and let God, and not continue to function under pressure or anxiousness. God can do more with your confession, and your willingness to invite Him in then you can with your anxiety.

Being Equally Yoked

Being equally yoked is not just concerning a relationship with a spouse, but also in friendships as well. I find that every friendly face is not willing to help you grow, stick by your side, or is a part of God's plan. People pretend to know this, but think about your current circle... Does it represent God,  or does it represent your own desires. Keep these questions in mind as you choose friends or a significant other:

Are we equally yoked?

Should I continue this path?

Is this God’s will for my life?

Is this person willing to be obedient to God’s will in everything?

Will this relationship bring glory to God’s kingdom?

From personal experience, I have been burned by friendly faces, people pretending to be nice, and even those who claim to the love the Lord. Friendships and significant others are powerful titles, and are people meant to help you grow. Be careful who you give that title to...

Whether you're young at heart or in age, that doesn't mean it is hard to do the right thing. People use youth, be it on age or nature, as an excuse to do the wrong things. It is possible to be free from sin if you use the word to help you.  Otherwise, you choose to fall short because you want to. Sowing your oats, having fun, doing what you have to do,  etc are all excuses. Beginning today, let's concentrate on the truth instead of making excuses for sin.

*Sometimes it feels like God has forgotten a desire you have because it seems like it will never come to pass.  You wait,  you pray, and you may even try your own efforts. However, God hasn't forgotten.. We just need to be still, be guided, and move when He says so.  As the holidays come,  I know you will encounter family that may remind you of your lack there of... You may even remind yourself. Don't focus on these things because that is the enemy trying to discourage you. Focus on God's promises, and what He is trying to tell you about them.

For the Love of Money

He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. 

*Have you ever noticed how people who receive or maintain money are not satisfied? None of us are... We think we have a specific amount, in our head, but notice how when it's received an automatic desire comes up to reach the next financial goal. This is why God wants us to love Him more than money. He can guide us on how to spend it, and how not to let it control you. More money often equates to more responsibility... Are you balancing your responsibility, or is it making or breaking you? If you lost it all today, who would people say you are?

In the beginning or even during a process, we often can't see the end results. We just have to trust God,  and remind ourselves that faith is the substance of things hoped for... The evidence of things unseen (Hebrews 11:1). In the end,  if we are obedient and allow God to guide us, we will reap a harvest. However, until the harvest comes, learn from the process. We all could stand a lesson that helps us grow. In the mean time, hold on to the promise and ask for guidance.

I think we all have questions that we need answers to... I would even venture to say that in some areas, we are tired of going in a circle and dealing with the back and forth or unknown. Yet,  God is waiting to provide us with answers and a plan for preparation if we ask. Nothing is wrong with asking for help, clarity, or encouragement no matter how big or small the desire is... God cares about it all. Today, let's be open to the wisdom of God. He has much to tell you... Not just for your own benefit, but He may speak through you to get to others. Open your mind and heart to His guidance...

In any relationship, we are suppose to serve a purpose in helping to grow that individual with the guidance of God. If you are experiencing everything in that relationship, but God and growth then there's a good chance you are with the wrong people. Even more so,  if you stay,  you have now personally chosen to stifle your own growth and purpose. Is having a good time for a moment, an easy time for a second, or holding on to people who do not mean you well more important than God's will for your life?  Let God guide you to people who will sharpen you,  and not just people who make you feel good... There's more to life than that...

The perseverance comes from the desire to continue to work on staying loyal to what you believe in. The trials are meant to serve as a measure of distraction, and also a false sense of failure. Yet, thanks to God's unmoving hand, He will never leave us nor forsake us.  However, it's our responsibility to remember His unconditional love when we sin, and walk in His strength to get back up and push pass that desire that doesn't line up with His will for your life. Know that you are valuable, which is why the enemy tries to tempt or test you. However, that's the most crucial time to stay true to God or move closer to Him.

*Do you ever have moments where you aren't sure what to do, where to go,  whether or not you should get close to someone,  or just feel like you need guidance in general? I think we all have thought this way, but there is always a credible source to turn to who is known as the Holy Spirit. This is God's voice guiding us through life. Sometimes we forget to take advantage of this source because we are often trying to figure it out ourselves. If you feel like you should have done something, or if there is an unction of peace that you feel in your heart... That would be God. Also, it's important to note that nothing that the Holy Spirit tells you will go against the word of God. Therefore, get to know His word in order to hear from Him clearly. Then, go for it!  Only fear and disobedience can hold you back...

*One of the things that I've noticed lately is how people try to find bad things about people, instead of lifting those people up. For some, it's a natural fulfilment to be able to have an "A-ha, caught you" moment... And I can't help,  but ask God why people are so obsessed with finding wrong in others. Could it be the wrong doing that they feel within themselves, and won't to passify that wrong by finding something out about others? Let's be real... No one is perfect. However, we should be striving to do good to remove the bad from our hearts and actions. We should even do good to those who talk about us or look for bad in us, which will always overshadow the ignorant talk of looking for poor behavior in the first place... Live free from people's opinions and thoughts,  but may the good we display be sincere and not used for malicious intent. We should be more in tune to what God says and thinks of us,  which will develop into a natural habit of submitting to Him. This submission will begin to influence your thoughts and actions, and the good in you will come naturally.

Perhaps this is the perfect awakening that people are needing in order to remove themselves from complacency, unite, and take action to "do better. " I am not going to sit up here and tell people not to feel because that is unrealistic,  and quite frankly I'm tired of people thinking you are going to walk through life and ignore everything. This is why God said be angry,  but sin not... So,  don't criticize how people feel. HOWEVER, what you can start doing is think outside of yourself and ask God what does this mean for your purpose?  What should you do to prepare and how can you help others????  Don't be so quick to dictate without being a part of the solution!!! #KeepingItReal

* So, it's no secret that this election has brought about some stinking thinking... I am even holding back my fleshly thoughts as I type this. However, we must learn to gain control over our minds in order to govern our mouths and actions. Whatever we think and say can either line up with or go against the knowledge we have of God,  and knowing who He is... We must take captive of our thoughts in order to make them line up with His word, which will activate our faith. To be transparent,  I am a continuous work in progress with this... However, I am happy for victories in not saying what I always feel because I see some ugly and fake things daily among people who claim to connect with you or who are down right against you. Join me as we heal and move forward together in capturing the mind, which aids in dictating our words, in order to avoid blocking the truth and your blessings.

Allow God to free your heart from bondage in order to move forward mentally, physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Tongue Talk

One of the things I continue to work on is my thoughts becoming my words. For the most part, I have mastered holding my tongue except when it comes to race relations and sensitive, personal areas. I absolutely cannot stand when another race tries to make a group outside of their's feel inferior. This is based off my own healing process that I work through due to my experience, but I can become very disgusted quickly. In my transparency with you,  I want you to think of ways your thoughts have manifested into words. Now,  let's work together on how to focus on turning those things into positives, or how we can refrain from blurting things out. Sometimes telling people how you feel in the heat of the moment does more harm than good. Even if you mean well,  ask yourself is it necessary or is it what God wants you to say?

*Winning the approval of humanity is an endless task that never provides peace, or a steady conclusion. There are ups and downs, rarely contentment, or consistency in pleasing humans. However, pleasing God is consistently a pathway towards growth, always laced with love and good intentions, and the guidance behind it is well-rounded. This is what gives you the peace to deal with people. Live for God, and people will follow.. If you live for people, confusion will follow. Be who God made you to be, and see how many souls you win in the process...

*I can understand this... Guard your steps when you present yourself to God.  You can pray for people who are wrong, but don't let the wrong doing of others be your prayer focus. Listen to what God is trying to tell you,  and pray on that ...These are our keys to success.

*One of the areas that I keep pursuing in different ways is my career change. I even recently began to do things I use to do by letting it take up my time, but then I realized that I am not of this world. I have been gifted with favor and intelligence, and I know how to sell myself. Why am I going to spend hours in front of a computer like I'm of this world, and run after something when I can seek God and cut the worldly process out? Instead of pouring yourself into something your way, ask God what He is trying to show you and tell you. How can you do it His way? Think about the things you have been blessed with by God... Did you have to do everything like people in the world, and be by the book? Not completely... You may have followed some procedures, but the manifestation was something that only God could do in less time than what leaning to how people do things on their own could do. Let's work on not going by steps or procedures that are like everyone else, and ask God what to do based on the solution He has tailored for you. We've wasted enough time. You'll be glad you let Him in...

*God hears your prayers during every phase of your life.  As a matter of fact,  He waits on you to connect with Him.  If you take the time to talk with Him about anything, He is ready to listen and assist no matter how big or small your request is... It's just your responsibility to make it known. He definitely desires your love just as much as you crave to be loved.  How often are you connecting  with God? Could your prayer life increase?

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 

*As long as it doesn't overturn God's word,  we must respect authority and the rules governed by these individuals.  Submitting to authority depicts our respect for God and obedience. Everyone placed in a position of power was chosen by God, and serves as a key part of His plan. Even when it seems bad,  there is master plan that God has put in place.

Being Budget Conscientious

Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds;

*Every pay check, I take the time to ask myself about my savings, review my payoff goals,  and budget for a treat if I can afford it.  All this comes after paying my tithes and my bills. I know sometimes we desire to do things, and your eye is set on specifics, but being aware and real about your situation is far more important  than any moment  of shopping pleasure. Plus,  if you do the right thing by God, He will always give you what you desire at the right time. Even when you have overflow, if you embrace the wisdom of a budget,  you still do not allow yourself to be ripped off by over-priced things. Take the time to really review your financial situation. Now,  ask yourself what do you consistently see... Does God come first?  Do you give as He leads you in order to enhance your harvest?  Are you too lax in your giving without keeping account into your responsibilities, and whether it's your own doing or God's?  Do you limit yourself based on your budget instead of faith?  Are you selfish? Does business come before pleasure? Keep track of where you are today with a budget and plan more in order to be more financially free tomorrow, and build upon you and your family's future.

Mouth of the South Vs Being Discreet

"Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

*People often feel the need to announce things because of an insecurity that they have within themselves. It makes them feel important, but what they don't know or maybe don't care about is how they are compromising the person's trust and their integrity. Nine times out of ten, when a person comes to you for help, there is a possibility that they had to humble themselves to do so. The person would probably like you to be discreet, and not broadcast how you helped the situation. Now, unless we are using it as a testimony, what does it benefit if you say anything? Better yet, what is the motive behind expressing your deeds?  God sees our hearts and motives,  and He knows when we are looking for accolades. Think of how your mouth impacts your testimony and your credibility.

*If you are anything like me, you look forward to your next off day or perhaps even a day when a special occasion is due to occur. You may make plans even that surround those times in order to push you forward, and even get you through your current day. There is nothing wrong with planning ahead, but how many times do we stop to dissect the current day? Do we enough take enough time to uncover what God wants us to avoid, indulge in, or just simply learn from today?  After all, we were blessed to see it... Maybe we are so busy pushing through, that we don't stop to review. If God says there are many evils in one day, that may indicate that we need to be prepared and focus on how to get through those and be used to help others get through. Perhaps it's not just the focus on your life, but how can your life save others. There is more to life than world work, and if we focus, we can see today the way God wants us to vs pushing through to get to another one when we didn't learn anything in the current day.

Giving with Your Heart

I watched my parents give in order to not be selfish, and I listened to my great grandmother tell us "don't be tight as the nuts on London Bridge." lol I think those things, and growing deeper in my relationship with God inspire the desire to give...Plus, it's a rewarding feeling, and a constant reminder that "stuff" does not have you... God controls it. If your hand is empty and open from giving, you now have the ability to receive because there is nothing blocking your grip and ability to obtain something new. Be led in your giving by God, and watch your life style and heart grow...

My flesh and my heart are devoted to God,  but are not perfect by far. Sometimes things run through our minds, sometimes we may act on things we shouldn't, and sometimes we harbor unforgiveness in our heart. Yet, these things can be removed and healed if we find our strength and guidance in God. To keep ourselves this way is a choice, but to grow from it with God is a privilege. What can you use God's strength to help you get through?

Being strong in God is holding on to His word, no matter how you feel or what life looks like. Even in times of weakness, your strength can be found in your faith. Standing strong in God is holding on to what He placed in your heart,  and what He revealed to you during your word and prayer time. God never changes, and strongly believes in us despite our drama and attitudes. Surely, we can be strong in Him.

I love this verse, and the devotional I read with it. What is crazy is how people look at the weaknesses of others to feel better about themselves. Have you ever heard someone say,  "At least you don't have it as bad as... " Despite whatever truth there is to that phrase, it still does not give us the right to look down on others in order to make ourselves feel more valued. Everyone has weaknesses, and if we learn to accept  each other, you might help someone grow instead of holding them to your standards. God accepts us despite and through it all...That love stimulates the desire to change and grow. Now, imagine if humans could do that, instead of setting the standard... Perhaps there would be more positive changes, and less pressure and rebellions. On my birthday, I can't help but think about continued growth...How will you continue to grow into your new phase of life, and help others do the same?

Transparency with the Right Tribe for Your Quest

when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

*This is EXACTLY what I'm referring to when I say we all need someone to be transparent in order to grow and move forward. You don't have to share your true feelings and business with the world, but you need a small group where you feel safe or at least one person that you can be real with... Then,  you both can work with each other to release, overcome, and grow if that maturity is there. If your connection or group doesn't promote growth, or if you don't release your faults,  or aid in the listening process then the group becomes stagnant and superficial. This keeps you from being real and discovering who God really called you to be or knowing what He wants you to work on. The people we associate with should also walk in love,  and not judgment or fuss. Think about who you allow to pour into you, and pay attention  to whether you have peace and if that's where God wants you to be...

In today's society, people do anything for attention, likes, hearts,  or to gain interest including compromising their mouth and actions. Even more so,  think about the blessings and people you miss out on connecting with because of assumptions or the need to be the spotlight. If people could learn to see beyond themselves, they will be able to bless them selves with new opportunities, more wisdom, and have a better understanding of people. Don't allow selfishness and the inability to see outside your thoughts and circle be what stunts your growth.

God's love never changes no matter how much we change. His love is unconditional, even when we place conditions or stipulations on Him and His people. Pray Instead of Make Fun Of...

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior,

Do you ever look at people and feel as though they don't know what they are talking about,  or ever wonder how on earth they are in their position based off of what comes out of their mouths? I know I have,  and I have often said things that I am not exactly proud of either. However, that is not a final depiction of that person's outcome. Whenever we feel that people don't know what they are doing, we must remind ourselves to pray for them rather than talk about them,  ignore them,  in the case of the election people create memes about them,  or distance ourselves from them. Someone has to peacefully pray for their guidance. Even coming off as a dictator in giving advice or trying to display quotes on social media to get a person's attention isn't right if your heart isn't... Instead,  pray for these individuals because God's guidance overrides the current situation,  and enhances the lack of wisdom.

Anything that occurs in life is not meant to be shared or done alone. Open up to let the right individuals love and help you. Ask God for the right company, and an open heart.

Even Jesus' closest connects failed Him,  and didn't have His back the way they should have... Yet, He was diligent in carrying out His purpose and submitting to God's will no matter what. In life, you may not always have support or people who cover you. That doesn't mean you are on the wrong path, or you should give up. Hold fast to what God told you, and know that He will see you through if no one else does. You know the truth.. Follow it, and don't allow people not being in line with your vision deter you...

One of the hardest things to do is to wear this outfit for people who do not appreciate, understand, or think in this manner... Or, even those who try to use this against you. Love is a hard garment to put on for people who don't care, or for one to wear it consistently in order to share this garment with the inconsistent. Everyday, I ask God to soften my heart because in the flesh there is a desire to protect it. I have yet to encounter consistent love from anyone...particularly outside of a parent,  but yet God has placed this in my heart... Yet,  I battle daily to fully let it out. I pray we all grow to use these tools consistently, and despite how we are treated or viewed. I know there is something deeper that God desires to show us because it is rare that people get to this level, but those who do are rewarded and most importantly go deeper in their calling.

Our daily strength to move on and forward,  particularly in God's will for your life, is not something we rely on men to consistently help with... Our strength comes from God. Everyday,  He has a new level He is trying to get us to reach, renew our minds,  and restore our ways back to the original truth of His promises vs the heartache and disbelief that the world has placed in our minds. It takes a desire and faith to want to move forward in this manner, and only that can be provided through a relationship with God. Let's pray for each other daily, and strengthen ourselves with His word.

These things are also a part of your purpose, instead of being achieved for temporal gain. It's better to wait on God,  and allow Him to prepare you then obtaining something prematurely that may hinder your growth and create lack because you aren't sure how to handle or maintain it...

*Whenever someone speaks negatively about an individual, they are showing the lack of godliness in that area.. Your words have power,  and what you say influences those around you and how they act towards you. You have the power to be loving, and be God's vessel of deliverance in order to guide them to salvation through love. Or, you have the power to tear down a person... Even if the poor discussion is done in secret, it takes your mind off the purpose of why God may have placed you in their lives. Let's work on changing or words in order to heal our hearts, and to better influence those around us.

God is always protecting us.. Even from things and people we think are good, but aren't able to see the underlying issue. If we learn to move ourselves and own desires out of the way, God's guidance will supercede our fleshly choices. The Holy Spirit is their to protect us, give us the spirit of discernment,  and help create more spiritual awareness. Take advantage of the helper God created for the spirit realm, and be open to His guidance... It can save you a lot of unnecessary battles and keep your peace.

*This hit home for me today because I have issues with desiring to deal with people, especially those that hurt you and have no respect or regard for your feelings or thought process. It becomes tiring to try to reach God's people when you are met with selfishness, but yet we can't love Him and not love His people. I often think that hurts and pointing out the differences between people,  or being in a click is designed to further separate His people. None of this can stop your purpose,  if you don't let it... Especially if you pursue unity and soul winning.  May our temporary feelings not get in the way of our assignments and blessings, and may positive experiences with people help reap a harvest of consistent love through us verses dwelled upon hurts.

Despite what we feel and see, there is nothing too hard for God to turn around. Things may not have went according to plan, but that's because God has a greater plan. We don't realize the power God holds, and how that power is in us and can be utilized if we believe. Including myself, I pray we all hang in there,  and do not be afraid of what we feel or see vs. what God is trying to guide us to... Let go, and let God...

Food for Thought:

Whatever we do in life effects our witnessing... It's important to still be real, but don't be worldly and allow what you witness to not impact your own lifestyle. People need to see God in you to draw closer to Him. What separates you from the world if you are of it? Do you talk the talk, but have issues walking the walk? *Many times people feel that God doesn't understand,  or that He is too busy taking care of larger issues to be concerned about the little ones... This is absolutely incorrect. No matter what you face, be it big or small, God has already faced it and would like to be your example in how to overcome it. As a matter of fact, He is waiting on you to discuss it with Him. Who better to relate to and keep your secrets,  but our sweet and open Lord and Saviour?  When there is no one else to talk to or understand, God understands... On a personal note,  I've spent many nights crying and/or speaking with God. This is not to say you will not require a connection with a human because no man is an island, but go to God first and see how that desire to run to everyone else begins to fade. We all could work on talking to Him more...

He has no intentions of seeing anyone fail, but the prosperity through Him lies in His will for our lives.  Whenever He blesses us, there is a purpose behind it. This purpose coincides with being a blessing to others, being a testimony on His behalf,  and it is meant to aid you in the next step He has for your purpose on Earth. Consider your blessings the gate way to the next level in God no matter how big or small...Rather it be just Him showing you love to an assignment behind it,  He has many promises for us. The question is are we willing to take the time to spend with Him to see what He has for you? Go deeper in God, and the "stuff" will follow.

God will always be before all things and people, and I will treat Him as such.  Nothing comes before Him, and He is the first true example of completion, and how to do things correctly. We must use God as our ultimate example,  and follow His lead. Therefore, if we seek God first (Matt. 6:33), He will never be second to our own mindset and desires. We must learn to put God before the items we desire, the fear we face, and the people we embrace in order to impact those areas in our lives.

We have to be prepared to protect that, but most importantly pull others in through love. It's not enough to support yourself and those like you... You've got to be prepared to be a vessel of influence for those who question you.  May God guide your tongue, may your life truly reflect Him,  and may you be prepared to explain why and how Jesus is beneficial... Your life is a testimony of His love and grace.. Don't you EVER forget that...

Regardless to how others obtain what they desire or how they treat you, be still and stay patient and guided by God. He is the best way,  and no other way will achieve the right or lasting results. I'm going though similar thoughts right now with an upcoming blessing of a home,  and I feel like people never cease to amaze me with their request. Yet, I ignore it and I'm only guided by God.  Don't let the actions and verbalization from people cause you to stray away from the course God placed you on, take away the glory of His blessings, or the mindset He created in you.

*Giving our heart and mind to God is something we have to let go,  and do completely without argument or debate.  We can't ask to hear from God if we are unwilling to trust and listen. If we are seeking Him with a free heart and mind that's empty of rebuttals or the scars of our experiences, then it will be easier to hear His voice. God is not going to argue with our assumptions, hurts, or plans; instead, He wants to know that we trust Him and are ready to hear what He has to say and obey. Love is letting go of what you knew to embrace the unknown. Are you ready to let go and love God?

Choices and options are out there,  but it's  important to distinguish whether they come from God,  your own desire, or are from the devil. Ask yourself if what you do and think is approved by God, or have you turned it into a possibility that your hoping God will bless?... Yet, His word and guidance never confirmed that in the first place..

*There is so much more that God wants us to focus on that goes beyond the norm, or drama that the world tries to distract us with... Have you ever sat back and thought about how much you dwell on the negative more than the positive? How one thing you didn't like overshadowed the good of the day, or in a person? If we learn to focus more on heavenly thoughts such as our purpose and what guidance God is trying to give us, we will notice more positive and even potentially be able to avoid negative Nancys  all together.  People who are of this world will try to distract you subconsciously and consciously, but those who are in your corner will elevate you... BUT,  it all starts with you and who or what you choose to focus on and deal with. The tasks from heaven and the blessings God has for us are much greater than things and people who were not meant to be a part of the process in the beginning. Let's pray for elevated thinking...

Letting Go, and Not Being Moved

*May we remember that we are not fighting rude people, but the spirits that have been allowed to inhabit their bodies in order to distract you. We must learn to not allow the demons of darkness to discourage us, or continuously allow them to upset our lives. Instead, we must learn to see it as a distraction and remove such with guidance from God and prayer. Like God uses people as vessels, so does the devil.  A lot of times he may not even use them in a negative light, but even in a positive way to make something bad seem good. There is a spiritual battle daily that is working to impact us. Let's remember not to become too busy to pray,  and see evil for what it is rather than circuming to it.

*No man is an island, even when you feel like you would rather be alone. Growth doesn't spawn from seclusion, but rather the inclusion of others. I thank God for this reminder because the enemy will often speak to my heart, especially during my lowest points, and trigger annoyance and the desire for isolation, but we MUST remember that isolation is a trick to get you weaker and alone in order to create vulnerability and an easy target. There is strength in numbers...

Love is meant to cradle you from harm and make you feel safe... Not confine you to the cares of this world, and further damage your heart.  In true love,  there should not be any malicious intent... Just the freedom to release your heart, and to rebuild upon the hope of your desires.  Love is not perfect, but if you find it then embrace it.  The idea is to unveil yourself in the process, and not constantly feel burdened by it. However, release requires vulnerability...Do not fear opening up.. Embrace the experience.

...May we learn to love without trying to control or manipulate it...May we experience and give out the love that God placed in our hearts that's full of freedom in order to see pass everything, and love regardless of the circumstances or the logic. How many times do we claim to love, but yet try to control it or protect ourselves from what's waiting to burst out?  You may even have that isolated love that's only shared with those you know.. We will never experience the freedom and possibilities of true love if we control it our way, instead of letting God have His way...

Actions speak louder than words. If we never see any action from what a person has said,  it's safe to say they are lying. Utilizing words alone is a way to stall,  and try to throw people off. However, what is or isn't done reflects the validity of your words. Speak the truth, and hold your actions accountable.

Correction

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

Lord,  help me to be humble when I am wrong and corrected. May the correction be done in love without malicious intent, and may my response be the same. Also, help me to correct others in your in your will.

Ever notice how people become attitude  prone when they are corrected,  as if what they say should go regardless of if it's wrong or right? There is pride behind that reaction, especially if others have been accepting to their demeanor or thoughts. Even with this reaction,  we must still be led on how we handle these people. We must also look to God on what to say or even how to say it. Also, for those who are accepting to poor behaviors, ask God to help you be strong enough to correct in love instead of ignoring the problem.

Lastly, be led on if you should correct it. Just because things are different from what you experience, doesn't mean that it's wrong. Let's be open to receiving wisdom, and understand how to give it as well.

God is the only consistent individual that continues to stick by our side when humans may fail. He is always there to uplift and carry us through our concerns. He never gives up on us, and bares with us over and over again, while all the while giving us guidance on how to make changes. I'm so greatly I'm not alone, and I hope you know you aren't alone too...I just need to continue to talk with Him more, and cast my cares upon Him. That way, I can let go of the emotion from man and embrace the consistent love of God.

People would rather defend a lie in order to keep doing what they enjoy or are use to, instead of trying the truth and freeing themselves up for something new. People are often afraid of change and realness; therefore, they look for ways to justify lies in order to support complacency. We must remember to let go by humbling ourselves to the truth, admit there is a need for change, and open our hearts to the directions of the Father. How will you ever grow if you don't open your mind to embrace the unknown by faith, and let go of what has held you back? Make room for healing and correction in order to be prepared to support something new and greater....

Jesus wants us to remember to be thankful and trust God by using our faith to see us through. He wants us to remember that He has already overcome the circumstance through His death and resurrection, and now we just have to take advantage of the line of communication in order to receive guidance. When we approach Him for guidance, we must give Him praise that He is with us and willing to help us. I personally have to remember to glorify Him in advance, no just wait on the "after" because it depicts that I trust Him. My praise could use more pre-worship...What about yours?

It's not just what you sow that's important, but the reason behind your sowing. You can do all the right things, but be doing it out of trying to impress or fit in. You can also hold back, despite what God has placed on your heart. Neither of these is from a pure heart of giving. God loves cheerful giver, and He wants us to share from the heart. This is why man looks at the outside and the action, but God looks at the heart and the motive. May God help us not to sow for selfish gain; instead, may it come out of love, and a desire to represent Him. May what we sow and reap be a continuous chain of love, and not be done out of obligation or for bragging rights.

It's so easy to harden your heart in order to protect yourself. Some of us do this due to our experiences, or because of poor treatment or lack of others' inability to respect or understand you. Trust me, I get it because I have experienced this lately. However, we can't allow the ignorance of others to shut off our ability to love because there are people out there who need your love, and you need there's. God's heart always stays open for us no matter how we treat Him because He is waiting on you get rid of your old ways, and love Him back. Love conquers all, and softens even the hardest of hearts, while causing healing. Help restore someone with the love of God, and in turn watch how you become restored as well.

Being anxious is a branch of anxiety that creeps up in the spirit, and causes pressure and even the desire to escape. We become anxious for change when we are extremely tired of people and things...You may even feel that need to loose the pressure by going off on God's people, especially those who misjudge or do not try to understand. However, the outcome of pressure and anxiety only causes suffering, which hinders yourself. I want to be set free from it's control, and I pray you do too. Therefore, let's work on letting go and letting God handle things, and if you are a person who causes anxiety for others, think about the seed you are sowing. Peace makers aren't mediators or mess carriers, but are led by God when coming between His people and a problem.

God is known as Elohim, the creator of all things...Take a moment to think about all He has created, from the birds in the air to the different elements that make up the beauty and positivity of the Earth. Since Elohim is that creative to develop different elements for us to enjoy, why do we fret about things we believe do not currently exist for us? Do we enjoy God's creations daily and honestly think that He is incapable of creating a job, wife, husband, circumstance, or anything else your heart desires? Our God is all powerful, and creates something from nothing; therefore, why do we work so hard to create things ourselves? Sit back, and be patient while the expert develops you and the right things for you...Just make your desire known.

We shouldn't be afraid to tell someone the truth, if we do it the right way. It's all about how you say things. Walking in love helps keep the situation stay calm, and helps people take in what we have to say. Notice the aggravation that occurs when things are done in rage or out of spite. Doing things in love helps facilitate peace, and opens the door for understanding. We all need to work on how we come off, especially if we let anger get the best of us. Love now to create peace later, even if you are loving from a distance....

Sometimes there are things and people in our lives that serve as distractions, and keep us from going deeper in God. Often, we have large to subtle distractions that take our mind off of God's positivity, and keep us trapped in negativity. We become so overwhelmed by what isn't there, due to the confusion of evil, that we don't accept the possibilities of what could be or what is currently occurring in our lives. Don't limit yourself to negativity or habits that hinder the vision God is trying to give you. Take a stand to remove distractions, and embrace what He is trying to show you even if it looks different from what you imagine.

You may even feel slighted or cheated...I know I have, but God always sees us through and the blessing is greater than the trial...The greater the adversity, the greater the blessing. Therefore, don't judge people on their stumbling or during their low points...Be used by God to love them back to life. After all, these verses depict how He knows we aren't perfect and need love and help. Allow Him to help u in order to be a testimony and help for others.

*Sometimes you have to let go and let God guide you. If we are strong in this area, allow God to work through you to guide other people and not judge them for their lack of trust. After all, we do not know what they have been through, but we do know that we are sent to be a light in a dark place...We can't look at people from the way we think we understand them, but from an angle that allows us to let go of our guessing and trust God on how to guide them. We also must work on removing self from every equation, and let God invade our day, space, thoughts, and actions. Our trust in God is measured by how much we allow Him to consume our day, or how we conduct ourselves for His name sake. Are you trusting more in people, and allowing them to dictate your behavior and moves? Or, do you trust God more?

He loves to emphasize our mistakes, use people to make you feel bad, or bring up what we lack in order to hinder our confidence. However, unlike people, God never called us to be perfect. He just desires that we have enough humility to be used. We live in a society where people see your flaws before seeing theirs, they set parameters to meet requirements, but praise God that He owns it all and is able to use the weak to prove His power to the strong and haughty. I know I'm not perfect, but I am powerful because I can admit my mistakes, work through them, and still be used by God! What about you?

*Love brings strength, and the willingness to assist and understand. There is no fear in love because it caters to kindness, and is willing to endure as well as understand the individual or situation. God is always loving us, and willing to understand as well as assist. Shouldn't we be willing to do the same? Even in the face of evil, we must remember God's love and the fact that He will never leave us nor forsake us no matter what it looks like. Therefore, there is nothing to fear when you know that support and love is there because love aids and reacts, while fear binds you up and attacks. Do not allow the False Evidence Appearing Real (Fear) to overtake what you know to be the truth...God sees and aids us all through love, and may we do the same through peace and loving Him and others.

Choose to move in His way to aid you in pursuing His perfect will, and not your permissible choices that may not give u your desired results.

Even more so, the answer may have nothing to do with your thoughts/feelings + the opinion of your friends + what makes sense...God is not someone you place in a box nor a predictable individual. Therefore, why confine the possibilities that He can bring you to one or a few options? See the possibilities, but be led by the unctions of the Holy Spirit. .

*May we learn that its not just about growth for ourselves, and then doing God's work...It's about assisting those who are weak in the areas we are strong in, which will automatically come with a lesson that will help us grow further. If we learn to put others and God's will first, then our edification will automatically come. Get lost in your service and purpose, and not lost in your circle and ways that mainly fix you alone. Self was NEVER first when it came to Jesus...He grew as His service to man grew, thus clarifying and carrying out His purpose.

*When ppl in the world are busy trying to find fault in others, it is our job as believers to depict God's love while guiding people to redemption. No one needs a constant slap in the face for their mistakes, but they do need guidance and love to prompt the heart to change. How are we depicting that sort of guidance? Helping to elevate others in turn helps to elevate yourself bc what you sow is what you reap. As a believer, ppl will reach out to your light because they long for truth no matter how long they have been in darkness. Will you give it to them, or dim your light due to selfishness or to fit in?

We gain strength in our weakness to continue the good fight of faith, especially when you have had enough and failure is no longer an option. I'm a Living Witness

*People often believe that the older you are, the more life you've experienced and you have more to share with others. That can be true, but young people go through things as well and should serve as living testimonies to help others. As a young person or even if you feel young, it is not our job to just take from people and look for empathy. We are meant to encourage people through love, and not look down on them. We are also meant to share our mistakes. We are called to exercise our wisdom, and share our experiences no matter our age while representing God. If you know better, than do better and share with others to help people heal or not make the same mistakes as we did time and time again. It's not about age as it is about taking action, and being a living testimony for God.

*We all have sinned and fallen short, and no sin is greater than the other...There are just different levels of consequences that may occur. I am willing to say that I still have areas to overcome, but as long as we keep pushing forward then we can't remain complacent in our sins. God saw the potential for our faults, and still wants a relationship with us.. So much so, He made a way for us to be purified to connect with Him again through the sacrifice of His Son. There is no greater form of love that deserves to be trusted more than His. Now, imagine the love we are suppose to show...Despite His unconditional love, I know I'm working on showing love...Let's remember His sacrifice and how much He is entrusting us to either come back to or go deeper in Him. Do we trust Him in the same way? How deep is our love?

*No matter the circumstances, we should always exude self control. This keeps us from being open to any and everything without God's permission or guidance. This is not to be confused with the idea to have an open mind when it comes to learning and understanding situations and people. However, it doesn't mean you invite everyone into your personal circle, or allow yourself to participate in any and everything... Particularly, since we should protect our heart and mind. Boundaries also help define you, will protect you, and defines what you stand for while highlighting your commitments and who you are. We must learn to educate ourselves on life without subjecting ourselves to everything, which leaves us vulnerable to an attack. What boundaries do you need to establish or adjust?

The Power of Love

*Love is truly a sacrifice, especially when you don't like or want to be around someone. Let's be honest: It can even make you wonder if it's worth even putting forth the effort. However, God thought we were worth the effort despite our lack of obedience or actions. We may even try to love people when it's only convenient to us, but God inconvenienced himself to sacrifice His son despite our faults. Love is a powerful gesture that can soften the heart of even the most uncaring individual. The love of God has gotten through to people and changed their hearts regardless to how they originally felt. Perhaps love is the very thing we need to utilize to cause change, but most importantly to make peace within ourselves. May our love grow more sincere, and also may it become more consistent. Sacrifices

*The sacrifice that we are expected to make in guiding people does not just mean protecting them until death, but it also highlights the ability to set our own thoughts and comfortability to the side to be used for God's will. Many times we think we are being beneficial in what we do based off our own merit and convenience, but what about when it isn't convenient or not within the realm of what you are use to doing? It's great to share the word in the way you know how, but what about God's way in order to help us grow and push other's past the surface. Laying down your life is often the sacrifice of being in environments (perhaps work) or around people you aren't use to or may not understand...but, God will teach you and your inconvenience will be beneficial to everyone in the end.

His Will, Not My Way

James 4:2 (NIV)

You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.

*God spoke volumes in this verse today, highlighting all the efforts we put forth to obtain what we want while never doing the simplest method of all: Asking Him. Think about it: We overwork ourselves, over think, whine when others obtain what we desire, cry, formulate plans of action, try new methods, but we often don't adequately run things by the Father to first see if it is even His will or discuss how should we really go about obtaining our desires. Look at how much turmoil and unnecessary strains we put ourselves through, when all we have to do is just ask Him and wait to be guided. At times, we even cause unnecessary hardship to come upon ourselves because we don't wait long enough. God also wants us to be specific, but ask Him if our specifications are in line with His word, will, and way. Save yourself the drama and extras by learning to live with His guidance and talking to Him, rather than living and learning the hard way. Please, pray for each other in this area. Commitment

Psalms 37:5-6 (ESV)

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. 

*If we commit ourselves to God, our lives are brightened and all that was taken from us will be redeemed before the day is up. By choosing God, everything we aren't sure about becomes clear and the answer illuminated....We are no longer in darkness about our situations when we surrender to Him. The answer stands before us as clear as noon, and as quickly as lunch time arrives when we dedicate ourselves to God. What is it that we need to remove in order to be more dedicated? What is keeping us from hearing the answers? What do we trust in more than God's word? Ask God...

Good Works and Prayer

Hebrews 10:24 ESV

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works...

*Being there for people is a topic I'm sensitive about because I have experienced being alone in the natural, and it would only be God that I could talk to, despite my efforts to correctly be there for people...I've also experienced the joy of having God's people by my side to uplift me when I am weak. Many times when a person is going through, some people only present the offer of prayer. Now, there is nothing wrong with that offer if that's all you are led to do. However, if God nudges on you or pulls on your heart strings, and you are capable of doing more, do not solely offer prayer  as a simple "Christian" gesture that will allow you to keep your distance at the same time. Love can be shown in many ways, and you may be the very person called to aid in the situation. Always be led in how you handle people because you never know how much you are needed, whether you are causing more damage, or whether or not you helping with God's fullest capability. We can't save everyone, but let's learn to be more sensitive towards the potential of possible assignments.

The Truth about Sin

Joshua 24:15 (ESV

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." 

*Sometimes people believe they are serving God and are acting as Christians, but still habitually in sin and participating in evil. Sure, we can make mistakes, but there is no mistaking the fact that a person willingly chooses to participate in sin...This is not serving God with your whole heart, mind, and soul. This is the decision to pretend and serve two masters, which is impossible. When serving God, we are either in or out...Not lukewarm of half stepping. Instead of facing these evils and purging, many people will make excuses say that no one has the right to judge them and they allow past hurts to keep them in habitual sin. Please, take the time to exam your life and ask yourself are you really serving God? Are we half stepping, or are we really trying. The road may not always be easy, but God is worth it and so is His perfect will for your life.
