Coming Into Focus

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 KJV

*It's so easy to become disgusted by people, news, ignorance,  etc. However,  we must train our minds to focus on God's good works, and the positivity He placed in us in order to receive His promises.

A Heart Like God's

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You. Psalms 143:8 NKJV

*"Do you know that your brain is not designed to fear but it is hard-wired for love? Fear is not a natural response, despite what you may believe. Fear is a learned response and that is actually good news. Why? If you can learn to fear, you can also learn not to fear." So, in transparency, giving a full heart is fearful in my opinion. People hurt what they don't undersrand, and they don't love you like God. However, God sends people to help you grow. Plus, no matter how much I want to say forget it and give me an island because these folks are crazy, I still see love and pitifulness when I look at people...Guess this is what happens when you continue to ask God to make your heart like His. Even the ugliest and rudest acting, selfish person saddens me because they are crying for love and attention...Interesting how that works. Don't act on learned behavior. Work on implementing the natural behavior God put inside of you.

The Right Connections

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:1‭-‬4 NKJV

*Here is my thing: How are we suppose to be on one accord, looking out for one another, or even develop REAL and vested friendships when Believers can't keep it real, don't really talk to each other unless they need something, don't invest in their friendships, or Lord forbid criticise others? We were meant to connect and actually invest in connections, which some should lead to accountability partners. How can you have that if you take more than you give, rarely feel like being bothered, aren't led to the right people by God alone, or just plain are off doing your own thing?

Real Knows Who Was Sent By The REAL One

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. I John 4:1 NKJV

*This is a very deep scripture because it reminds us not to be naive, and don't be accepting to connecting and being inspired by everyone who talks like they know God. Even the devil can quote scriptures..This is why I say you can love everyone, but some people require love from a distance. Everyone is not meant to speak into your life, be in your inner circle, and know your weaknesses.  You need the right people, sent by God, to pour into you. Don't even allow everyone to influence you because they may have been sent as a distraction. Plus, some experiences were not sent from God, but created by man. Build a relationship with God to recognize His sheep.

Love: The Hardest Thing 2 Do, But The Easiest 2 Feel

Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. I Peter 4:9‭-‬10 NKJV

*Loving others is definitely not easy...There are plenty of closed minds, bad attitudes, combative, delusional, and to be honest just hateful spirits. However, how can we encourage change if we judge and don't love? The saying that "you can win more flies with honey than vinegar" rings true. Letting others know that everyone is not the same, and not everyone is looking to hurt them is half the battle in bringing people closer to Christ. We all need love, and we all need to sow it to reap it. However, like everything else, it requires God's wisdom and strength to love. Examine the heart of God...Now, ask yourself how is your love walk?

Pacing Ourselves in God

So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalms 90:12 NKJV

*May our hearts and minds be synchronized with the time frame of wisdom,  rather than rushing. It is so easy to push pass the process in order to fulfill our to-do list, or pause because the to-do list is too long. Trust God to order your steps...We need Him every step of the way.

Real Recognizes Real

I, the Lord , search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10 NKJV

*There are so many people who have advice, claim to love God, and may even know His word. However, their intentions are not pure, and they have malice and jealousy in their hearts. Others may twist God's word to fuel their selfishness or justify mess, but God sees those hearts and is able to decipher intentions. He can tell a false representative from the real Mccoy, even if the person thinks they are hiding it from others. He can also give us wisdom to know who was sent by Him as a representation, and who is just claiming to be a part of Him. Ask God for that wisdom, and do not let imitators and falsehoods be the reason why you sin or stray away from God. Like there is good in everything, there is bad...Feed off the good.

Stop Repeating

The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” John 4:15 NKJV

*When she chose the water that Jesus gave her, it was a solution for a permanent fix rather than a quick solution for a temporary fix. Allow God to give you permanent solutions...No one has time to keep fixing or dealing with the same thing over and over again.

Death to Our Expectations 4 Life in His

This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. II Timothy 2:11‭-‬13 NKJV

*To me, this is a new year's resolution all by itself: Dying to self in order to go deeper in God. God has so much for us, and it is often depicted and given in ways we do not expect. However, we must die to our own expectations, and ask God what are His? Are your plans and resolutions of God, or of your own doing? Don't waste ANYMORE TIME & EFFORT ...
