Putting God First

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.

Isaiah 48:17 NIV

Lord may I do your will and flow in the way you desire, instead of doing what I desire and asking you to bless it. May each action and decision be guided by you. May we all learn to consult with you before everything we do and say, instead of moving forward and then asking for your blessing. May you be first, instead of the second source after we have already made up our minds.

My Love Desire

So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant.

1 Kings 19:21 NIV

Father, help me to get rid of any temptations, back up plans, or strategies that allow me to run from or not trust the main plan that's centered around your love. May whatever distracts me negatively turn into positivity for others, and may I keep the strength of removal and focus it on your journey. I love u Father, and I want to properly and consistently love your people... #MyTransparency

The Real You

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

Genesis 16:13 NIV

*God is El Rai, and sees all we do while providing outlets and ways to help us. Don't try to hide who you are or what you really do behind clothes doors bc He sees, and He is waiting on you to invite Him in to receive what you need. Allow yourself to progress by divulging the real you, and purge the representative. We all are fearfully and wonderfully made...Enhance that aspect of yourself.

Putting God First

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

Lamentations 3:24 NIV

*It's better to put God first and receive His approval, rather than moving forward with our own plans and receiving disappointment. If God is truly head of our lives, He needs to be put first in all we do. Remember, if God comes first then all things will be added. His thoughts are not ours, and His ways are higher...Why settle for less?

Direction

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:23‭-‬24 NIV

*We all have fallen short in comparison to God's way of telling us to live, but it's important that we don't stay there. We have to realize that God's grace gives us the option to move on and forward in the right direction. It's up to us to take the opportunity, and not keep doing the same things habitually that get us no where.

Distractions from Positivity

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

*James 1:21 NIV

Sometimes there are things and people in our lives that serve as distractions, and keep us from going deeper in God. Often, we have large to subtle distractions that take our mind off of God's positivity, and keep us trapped in negativity. We become so overwhelmed by what isn't there, due to the confusion of evil, that we don't accept the possibilities of what could be or what is currently occurring in our lives. Don't limit yourself to negativity or habits that hinder the vision God is trying to give you. Take a stand to remove distractions, and embrace what He is trying to show you even if it looks different from what you imagine.

Thanks for Strength

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3:17 NIV

*If we put God first in what we do and say, we will not allow ourselves to be controlled by the circumstance bc our mind is on His refuge and His ability to  remove the burden...His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Giving thanks is a sign that we believe in His capabilities to help us. May we give thanks together, and release ourselves through God's power and our faith.

Love Saves

When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, Lord , supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

Psalm 94:18‭-‬19 NIV

*When I feel like my faith is slipping and that all may be lost, God's love emerges at it's strongest point to remind me of His capabilities, what He has done before, and He sends a human vessel to aid in loving me as well. In life, even as a believer, it's inevitable to have times when you will want to throw in the towel or say forget it. You may even feel slighted or cheated...I know I have, but God always sees us through and the blessing is greater than the trial...The greater the adversity, the greater the blessing. Therefore, don't judge people on their stumbling or during their low points...Be used by God to love them back to life. After all, these verses depict how He knows we aren't perfect and need love and help. Allow Him to help u in order to be a testimony and help for others.

Vessels of Purpose

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:10 NIV

*We are tools to be used by daily in order to represent Him and help His people. We are considered vessels that carry out God's will while edifying ourselves as well. We were not just placed on Earth to enjoy things for ourselves, but to be used by God and fulfill your purpose. The way listen to and follow the guidance of God will influence your harvest. Allow Him to completely use you today in order to influence tomorrow. Also, do not limit yourself to be used in accordance with who or what you know...God is trying to expand your mind and experience also.

Wisdom combined with Action and Beliefs

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

James 5:16 ESV

*I confess that I don't have it all together all the time. Sometimes I judge, talk about people, lack faith, and think the wrong things. I'm human, but my spirit overcomes with reminders that convict me. Better yet, I am working hard to follow peace continuously and be led. I hope we all can be led to the assistance of an accountability partner that will keep it real, but also keep it in love. Let your issues morph into insight that leads to a testimony, and may our hearts be open to others... Even our enemies..

Crooked Criticism or Straight Guidance

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 ESV

*Sometimes you have to let go and let God guide you. If we are strong in this area, allow God to work through you to guide other people and not judge them for their lack of trust. After all, we do not know what they have been through, but we do know that we are sent to be a light in a dark place...We can't look at people from the way we think we understand them, but from an angle that allows us to let go of our guessing and trust God on how to guide them. We also must work on removing self from every equation, and let God invade our day, space, thoughts, and actions. Our trust in God is measured by how much we allow Him to consume our day, or how we conduct ourselves for His name sake. Are you trusting more in people, and allowing them to dictate your behavior and moves? Or, do you trust God more?

Weakness is Strength.. He is Made Strong when I'm Not

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:10 ESV

*The thief is always looking to still, kill, and destroy... especially when if comes to our confidence in who we are called to be. He loves to emphasize our mistakes, use people to make you feel bad, or bring up what we lack in order to hinder our confidence. However, unlike people, God never called us to be perfect. He just desires that we have enough humility to be used. We live in a society where people see your flaws before seeing theirs, they set parameters to meet requirements, but praise God that He owns it all and is able to use the weak to prove His power to the strong and haughty. I know I'm not perfect, but I am powerful because I can admit my mistakes, work through them, and still be used by God! What about you?

Reflections of a Broken Glass made Whole

Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

Proverbs 17:28 ESV

*May our words and actions depict a true reflection of who we really are, and not someone we are pretending to be... People pretend because they are trying to impress others, but a true commitment to change is submitting to who God called you to be, and admitting the areas we need help in along with being proactive in pursuing change. What are you reflecting today that is not lining up with who you really are? How does being who you are affect or influence your calling?
