Working for God

With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.

1 Corinthians 15:58

*This is a great reminder of how any work that is done for God, even if you're working a job under man, is never in vain. If we work our jobs like we are  working them for God, we will exceed in everything we do. No matter the task, God should be our #1 focus. God is the one who will guide us to and through every assignment. You just need to make sure it's what God sent to you. He will also reveal what you should learn from every task, and how that information will be applied to the next level.

Your Mouth

Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.

Proverbs 13:3 NIV

May our words reflect God's word and what He places in our spirit, instead of reflecting our feelings or opinions. Many times we speak on a whelm without knowing the facts, or to discuss things we shouldn't. Sure, if something bothers you , you should express. However, from experience, there is a thin line between gossip and relinquishing frustrations. May God govern our words, especially during times of frustration.

Learn to Live

1 Corinthians 3:19-20 (ESV)

19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

*People often think that because they have more experience in the world, they know more then someone who has not been exposed to certain environments or behaviors. This is not always the case. The world operates with the idea of "you learn from your mistakes or choices." Therefore, the idea is to act on things first and learn from what happens. Spiritual wisdom is to learn first, then act...Think about it: This makes sense because you normally wouldn't, for example, operate on someone before learning the steps and procedure. The same should apply with God...We shouldn't say or do things without consulting Him and His word first. Not only does learning and being guided make you more prepared, but you may suffer less heartache and consequences. Let's not fall on our face each time without seeking counsel with God and those He sends to us (people who truly stand on His word). Let's pray that we learn how to live, instead of living to learn.

Defy vs Being Defined

Don't be a part of the STANDARD, but be on STANDBY to encourage others to dare to be different...Ppl should not DEFINE u, but you should DEFY the norm set by ppl...

Jeremiah 29:11(KJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. #ExpectTheUnexpected

It's Worth the Wait

John 5:30 (KJV-Jesus is speaking)

I can of mine own self do nothing as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

*Jesus never said or did anything that was outside of the will of His father, which is God. His actions and words were based on what He was led to do and say according to the guidance of God. Jesus was sent to Earth to be our ultimate example because He was God in the flesh, and sent to feel the humanism of life and what we go through on daily basis. He served as an ultimate example of the possibility of doing good things in life, and how to maintain yourself in a Christian lifestyle. In this lifestyle and like Jesus, we are suppose to be totally reliant on God for guidance and assistance in everything we do. This takes practice by remembering to ask His advice about EVERYTHING, utilizing the Holy Spirit to provide you with clarity, speaking in tongues, knowing whether or not you have peace with a choice, and being patient enough to wait on God's "yes" or "amen" green light before proceeding. Anything outside of that is a "no" or a pause that is meant for us to wait on in order to receive the answer. The point is to be guided by God, and not proclaim to follow Him, yet you never wait to receive instructions or clarity. As humans, it is easy to jump the gun, want a quick answer, create multiple plans, and go with the flow. However, ask yourself is that the true will of God? God is not the author of confusion (Numbers 23:19); therefore, why do we complicate the situation by confusing ourselves with unnecessary options. WAIT on GOD for CLARITY!

Rooted and On Fire for Christ

Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your
lives in him,7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

*Do u remember the day that u first accepted God into your life? Do you remember feeling a sense urgency or just a need to answer the altar call, or pray the prayer of salvation? Now, remember how it felt when u went up and decided to dedicate yourself to God....OR, perhaps u needed to re-dedicate yourself? I hope you experienced a refreshing moment of wonderment and perhaps excitement and curiosity towards your new walk. Many of us were on fire when we were first saved...Willing and ready to do whatever for Him and His kingdom. However, do u remember a pastor or someone telling u that now that u have traded sides, u may experience more attacks from the evil one? Well, sometimes these attacks take away our zest and fire for God. Some become complacent Christians and are afraid to take on more responsibility because they are concerned about being attacked, or feel as though we may not have what it takes because u aren't "holy enough" to carry out certain assignments. However, don't be tricked into missing out on growth, rewards on Earth and in Heaven, and not fulfilling the will of Christ because of your lack of faith. Be so ready and on fire for God that your faith becomes strengthened, and you are overflowing with thankfulness to do His will because u know the power of the continuous flow of seed time and harvest. Do not be afraid to try new things, talk to Him more often, or go through things for His namesake because that's how u become more rooted and grounded through Him. The road of living a righteous life may not always be easy, but u are covered better then any insurance and it's worth it. Please, become saved if you aren't there. Your life depends on it.Charitycommunicationsviagod.blogspot.com has a salvation folder.

Be Strong in the Lord and the Power of His Might

Points of Power: Sunday Message of Michelle Butler- "Are You a Good Fighter"

It is always a pleasure to hear Michelle speak, especially when it hits home with several points that are on time for me:

1. Do not be tempted to be ashamed...salvation is what carries u through (Personal Reference from Romans 10: 8-11)...I have been tempted to be ashamed of the fact that one moment I declare victory over something, and then the next it HAS snow balled back in to the same issue that I thought I had been delivered from...However, this is just the time to become MORE AGGRESSIVE as a soldier in God's army, (1 Timothy 6:12),because in the end I will be victorious if I fight the good fight of faith knowing that I have the power to win each battle and not be taken out.

2. Talk 2 That Thang- I don't care what it looks like...Open up your mouth and start speaking the opposite of your circumstance while u are charging towards victory (1 Samuel 17:42). A closed mouth won't get fed, or be able to create the atmosphere of victory either...#UHaveWhatUSay

3. Faith does not operate on a time limit or time hold...You were NEVER meant to serve time. Time was meant to serve u, so call it into existence NOW...NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things unseen (Hebrews 11:1). The law of faith overtook the law of time ( e.g. Mark 7: 25-29).

People, the fight we are in as believers should get better and better like a boxing match or a good football blowout by your favorite team! Don't become caught in cycles that hinder your chances to reach victory, cause u to be down for the count bc u have given up, continue in a looping cycle, or cause u to be in chill mode bc u are just trying to run out the clock. Hit the devil with your best shot every moment of the fight! If no one can mess with u and yours, then how do u think God feels about His people...IJS.

Temptation vs God's Will

James 1:13-14

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

*Temptation is in the mind of the beholder...God is never tempting u, and no one can "try u" or "test your inner gangster" unless u allow them to. Whenever u feel tempted, it is often your inner most desires that are coming out and trying to push u to find a quicker way to satisfy that need or want. Consider it a test of your will power, which is often one of the hardest test to pass. However, greater is He that lives on the inside of u then the adversity that wants to manifest within. We just have to ask ourselves if the temptation that we feel, long for, or crave lines up with the will of God for your life or with His word. In being transparent, I have longed to leave GA and explore a new state...the devil tempts with financial means to get me out of my current state, and pokes at that longing for financial overflow and stability. However, I have to ask myself if that opportunity is really a gain or a guarantee that will get me out of His will. I know it can become hard sometimes and u long for fulfilment and gain, but are u really going to gain if u lose everything in the end from being outside of His will?

Greater is Coming

1 Peter 4:16

16 Yet if anyone suffers as a
Christian, let him not be ashamed,
but let him glorify God in that name.

*As a Christian, we sometimes become embarrassed if we experience adversity. We may become embarrassed if we go through divorce, are jobless, if our accounts are not as we want them, are single, or not living the "fairytale" life that the world tends to place on those who are believers. However, this doesn't mean something is wrong with you. The chastisement is a test of your faith; your trial is a test of your faith; and how you act when going through it is also a test of your faith. As a friend has said, your altitude is determined by your attitude...so be positive, prayerful, and strong. That's not to say we don't have our emotional moments...I am definitely a witness of that...but, don't feel embarrassed if u go through things as a believer. Always believe that the bigger the adversity, the bigger the blessing. Let's keep each other uplifted.

Submission

James 4:7

7 Submit yourselves therefore to
God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you.

*Looks like the topic of submission has been making its appearance known lately, especially for those of u that have been in attendance at Faith Christian Center (FCC) in Smyrna, GA. With submission comes order...order that is not necessarily showing u your place in the scheme of things, but providing u with guidance on how to humble yourself in order to receive and know how to handle something greater then where u currently are in life. U can even think of submission as a way for u to learn to exercise the treatment or respect that u wish to receive in the future. By subemitting to God, u allow Him intervene in your current situation and guide u to a place/person/ process that u were incapable of receiving or achieving by leaning to your own understanding. Submission is often a learning mechanism that is used to teach u how to operate and function in a circumstance thus providing stability;it allows u to be more susceptible to the ideas of someone else, particularly God who does not have the same thought process as u and wants u to have greater; and gives u a broader perspective beyond the limitation that the devil tries to bestow on u. Open yourself up to submission in order to open the door of opportunity, and receive all that God has for u. Remember the three O's to help u obtain your blessing: Openness, Order, & Opportunity...Enjoy your day. ;-)

Supernatural Strength

Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all things through him
who strengthens me.

*Our strength does not solely lie in how we feel, what we put in our bodies, the type of exercise plan we implement, or the support we have on a daily basis...it lies within our capability to activate our spiritual strength and look to God for our daily vitamin C, (better known as instructions), on how to carry out a plan of action or just how to conduct ourselves in general. With God, u are stronger then u believe...u are capable of withstanding things that would have tempted u in the past; u are more then a conqueror when it comes to facing trials; and u are incapable of failure when u look to the hills from where your help comes from, which is completely from God. As I go through trials and face some of the same test from past experiences, I am amazed how calm I feel, how I am capable of resisting negative alternatives, and how I refuse to settle. U too have that same power, and have probably executed this lifestyle more than u think. Sure, we have our moments of veering to the left or maybe peaking over the fence, but be proud of yourself for having those "it ain't worth it" realizations. Sisters and brothers, friends and family be strong and know u are more then what the world says u are...your value is more precious then u can comprehend. U are made in the image of God and have His capabilities. Look inside yourself to tap into that supernatural power, and be released from a simple mind in order to walk into greater!

Mind Over Matter

How you acknowledge your situation, circumstance, or issue determines how much power it holds...the more u dramatize it, the more magnified it becomes...

Staying Focused

Galatians 6:9-10

9 And let us not grow weary of doing
good, for in due season we will reap,
if we do not give up. 10 So then, as
we have opportunity, let us do good
to everyone, and especially to those
who are of the household of faith.

Confirmation from yesterday's service at FCC (Faith Christian Center, Smyrna, GA)...With all in the evil in the world, wouldn't u want to be the positivity that a person sees, or show love to help your sister and brother push forward and succeed? We experience enough negativity and trials without adding to it ourselves, so stay focused on loving each other and uplifting one another. Don't grow weary and accidentally slip into the judgmental habits of the world.
