We've Overcome Sin Through Christ

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, Romans 3:23‭-‬24 NKJV

*Notice that the word sin is in past tense, meaning that if we choose Jesus  Christ, we are no longer a prisoner to sin. We have the power to combat and overcome it through Christ. Thank God for His sacrifice through the death and resurrection of our Lord.

Battle Against the Mind

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV

*We have the ability to think positive like Christ, and remember His promises. If we are negative, it's because our faith is low and/or we have forgotten that God lives in us. He is waiting for us to change our mindset and trust Him. Where's your mind? What is the enemy trying to get in your head vs what God said in His word.

The Real You

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

Genesis 16:13 NIV

*God is El Rai, and sees all we do while providing outlets and ways to help us. Don't try to hide who you are or what you really do behind clothes doors bc He sees, and He is waiting on you to invite Him in to receive what you need. Allow yourself to progress by divulging the real you, and purge the representative. We all are fearfully and wonderfully made...Enhance that aspect of yourself.

Reflections of a Broken Glass made Whole

Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

Proverbs 17:28 ESV

*May our words and actions depict a true reflection of who we really are, and not someone we are pretending to be... People pretend because they are trying to impress others, but a true commitment to change is submitting to who God called you to be, and admitting the areas we need help in along with being proactive in pursuing change. What are you reflecting today that is not lining up with who you really are? How does being who you are affect or influence your calling?

Shortcomings

James 3:2 (ESV)

For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.

*God is reminding all of us that we ALL fall short and miss the mark. Therefore, stop pretending to be perfect. If you claim to be perfect, then you can control all aspects of your body. Furthermore, since we all fall short, we need to remember this aspect when dealing with each other...This helps us remember the humility and patience behind longsuffering. It should also serve as a reminder to assist one another rather than ridicule, keep your distance if God is drawing you to that person, or judge. If we all stumble, then we need to not act as if someone is doing something that has never been heard of when they fall short. People often "throw shade" or look down upon others when we have our own demons that we battle. Wouldn't it be great if we could understand the shortcomings of others, and utilize our strengths to help them during their weakness; instead of writing them off or putting our mouth on them? Our words speak volumes of who we are, but our actions depict what we are really about. Are you representing God in both areas? Be willing to admit your shortcomings in order to understand and help with the shortcomings of others.

Double for Your Trouble

Isaiah 61:7 ESV

Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.

*Sometimes we may wonder where is  God? Are the normalities or the suffering u go through daily really how your life is going to be? Where are the promises? Trust me, I understand. Sometimes we haven't received because we are blocking ourselves from our blessing, while other times it's just the game of patience. Either way, ask God for clarity... Sometimes we want to give up on seeking and asking, but God is faithful. I challenge you today to uplift someone who is going through. People are on the edge more than you know, and we are still vessels used to sow seeds in order to reap a harvest of our own.
