How Does the Company You Keep Effect You?

Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3 NKJV

*Perfect example of not being around unequally yoked people. Sometimes we put ourselves through unnecessary headaches because we are around individuals who aren't seeking God for real, do not have respect for our walk on Christ and thoughts, and who are either close-minded or trapped by the things of the world. Why keep putting yourself through that type of judgment? Follow Christ to be guided to more peaceful connections.

I feel like the above verse applies to even those who claim to be believers, but our bond. 2 Corinthians 6:14 applies to those who do not seek God at all in my opinion. Be careful what and who you deal with that is outside of God's will for YOUR LIFE...That's the very thing that leads to setbacks.

Putting Away Bitterness

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Ephesians 4:31 KJV

*To be transparent,  I have thought about a few negative things, especially regarding those who have done things to you and they try to come back and talk to you. In the back of my mind, I am thinking "How dare you have the nerve to come and carry on a friendly chat, and even think we are going to be friends, after all the lying and rudeness you've done." Truth be told, you don't have to be friends with them. However, you do have to get rid of your disgust, aka bitterness, in order to love them even from a distance. Otherwise, you may be ready to slap them every time. People are a trip, but you don't have to be. Let's allow the love of God to help is find forgiveness, and put away negative thoughts, without allowing it to effect how we please God.

Anxiety Vs Faith

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 NIV

*It's easy to become antsy when you desire change or the element of something more deeply. However, allow that anxiety to turn into a fuel that sparks the desire to discuss how you feel with God. We have to learn to let go and let God, and not continue to function under pressure or anxiousness. God can do more with your confession, and your willingness to invite Him in then you can with your anxiety.

Let Go and Let God Cleanse

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead...

Philippians 3:13 NIV

*So many dwell on mistakes from the past... So much so that it hinders your ability to move forward, or embrace your future relationships. Our past mistakes are forgiven by God; therefore, ask for forgiveness and ask how to move forward. Dwelling on things does not promote change, but learning from it and moving forward with a renewed mindset does. Allow God to free your heart from bondage in order to move forward mentally, physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Mourning

Psalm 73:26 (ESV)

26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

*Today,  I have no words of encouragement and no desire to feel anything,  but the mourning of my best friend. However, all the strength I have is to share with you my experience of being broken,  and remind you of God's role during these times. God bless.... #Pearl #Parting #Heartaches #PrayingABadTurnsIntoAGood #MourningSummer16

Anxiety

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 NIV

Being anxious is a branch of anxiety that creeps up in the spirit, and causes pressure and even the desire to escape. We become anxious for change when we are extremely tired of people and things...You may even feel that need to loose the pressure by going off on God's people, especially those who misjudge or do not try to understand. However, the outcome of pressure and anxiety only causes suffering, which hinders yourself. I want to be set free from it's control, and I pray you do too. Therefore, let's work on letting go and letting God handle things, and if you are a person who causes anxiety for others, think about the seed you are sowing. Peace makers aren't mediators or mess carriers, but are led by God when coming between His people and a problem.

If God Be For You...

Luke 12:4-5 (ESV)

"I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!

*Have you ever heard someone say that people don't have a heaven or hell to put you in? Well, it's literally true.. No matter how people treat you, see you, or regardless to what occurs they do not have any authority over your spirit and life unless you allow them to...Your major influencer is God, who has ALL power and authority. If we start recognizing who has the power vs who we choose to give power to, then it may cause you to fear less and care more about what matters to God verses what matters to humans. Yes, love and represent well; however, do it in the name of the Father and not in the name of influencing the perception of others. Allow God to take care of the rest...After all, humans are on the same level and put their pants on like you do...God is on another level that can set you a part from unnecessary distractions and things designed to take you out sooner, if you let it.

Tomorrow May Never Come if You Don't Focus Today

Matthew 6:34 (ESV)

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

*On a day like today, it is easy to wish for the weekend...Perhaps your thoughts even go beyond that where you are wishing for the day to spend time with someone, wishing for a day when you don't have to work anymore bc of your own business, or wish for the day when change comes. Nothing is wrong with wishing and wanting, but when you start to become antsy or anxious then that's when an issue can occur and desperation may set in. The anxiety often causes us to make hasty decisions that get us outside the will of God. God could be trying to show you something or someone today that can assist your desire for tomorrow. He could even be trying to save you from something currently, but we are so distracted by what we want for the next day that we can't see the warning of today. There is nothing wrong with making plans for the future, but be on guard and aware daily of things that can distract or hinder you. Your decisions or what you miss out on today will impact your tomorrow. Be less anxious and more in tune to the Father who knows what today holds and what tomorrow will bring.
