Marriage Between a Man and Woman

Thought for the Day:

Those of you who have been blessed with your mate were made for such a time as this...You all were personally chosen to stand up for God's definition of marriage, called to be examples, and should utilize your relationship as a guiding light of truth, which many of you do. Take pride in your gift/blessing, and be honored that in these times YOU BOTH are meant to drive His people back to the tradition of truth and correct inaccurate portrayals of love today. MOST IMPORTANTLY, it is your relationship that has the divine light to win others over through the love you share with your spouse, which will allow that love to seep into the hearts of the misled. RISE UP married believers! I'm praying for u! How blessed are you to have been chosen to represent God's true definition of marriage and love...Be encouraged!

The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall

Nahum 1:7-9 (ESV)

7 The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. 8 But with an overflowing flood
he will make a complete end of the adversaries, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
9 What do you plot against the Lord?
He will make a complete end;
trouble will not rise up a second time.

*We are considered to be in the "last days," or the days of trouble...What was once deemed good by the word is now condemned to be wrong according to the world, and what is considered wrong according to the word is now justified in the world. God is not pleased, and it is a sign of the end of days, but we can still find comfort in Him and direction on how to love and win back His people. Keep in mind that no matter what it looks like, God will still wins...I don't care if all hell breaks lose, just keep in mind that our God never fails and the larger the adversity, the greater the fall of the enemy. This is a time for us to band together rather then tackle things separately. Remember, there is strength in numbers and clarity with the correct advisers and companionship that God has sent you...

Reap Positive Vibes

Proverbs 16:8

8 Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues with injustice.

*Whatever we put out will be what we receive. Therefore, any negativity or illegitimacy will cause a greater hardship for us. If you receive or produce things legitimately, then even if it is small, it will be clear of unnecessary drama. Larger streams of income, poor treatment of others, or secrecy in a situation will always end with more hardship. Take the high road, and allow a little to multiple into a lot.,.You reap whatever you sow, even if u can't see it now. Allow only more positivity to come your way.

Strength in Numbers and Holiness

Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

*If we aren't careful about how we handle things or aren't grounded in God, we will begin to circum to things that were designed to break us down. We will forget the promises of God, and our expectations will dwindle into complacency. Life is definitely challenging, but the magnitude of the challenge is depicted by our connection with God and our belief in the power He bestowed upon us. We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). However, we must be aware of that strength and how to tap into it. Today, let's think about our strengths and help someone else be strong in those areas. Where we are weak, let's allow others to help us be strong.

The Love of Our Heavenly Father

Proverbs 3:11-12 (ESV)

11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof,
12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

*I don't know about you, but so many times I've cried out or became annoyed with the Father's lessons of life. My patience became thin and my thoughts were not peaceful, but I hold on because I know He loves me. My mind and flesh may try to kick down patience's door, but yet my heart waits at the door and deals with long suffering... Holding on to the hope for greater and working on consistently being thankful for what you have, and the realization and removal of what I didn't need. Praise God for being a loving Father that never gives up on me even when I am on the boarder of not doing the same...Yet His love has captured me...

Words Have Power

Food 4 Thought:
It's Foolish to share every feeling and thought...

"Being honest doesn't mean you have to be completely frank in your every comment..That hurts people..." Stormie Omartian. Don't use the excuse of "just being honest" to get your point across without thinking of how your words can devastate someone else. Words have power... Use them wisely, and remember what you dish out will come back around...Ask God how to talk to people.

Lighten the Load with God

Psalm 86:4-5 (ESV)

4 Gladden the soul of your servant,
for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

*Sometimes it's good to take a break from people and sort things out with God. God understands even when no one else seems to...His steadfast love never changes. At times, when we feel too much controversy, hurt, or inconsistency with others then it's good to just have a session with you and God. It doesn't always necessarily mean that you are the problem, but perhaps He is trying to get your attention... Take a moment to relax with Him to seek fulfillment and find happiness in order to learn how to deal with situations that make you feel less...

Focus on God

Isaiah 26:3 New International Version (NIV)

3 You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
    because they trust in you.

*Today, let's evaluate our trust in God...How much we trust Him will effect how well we can trust those sent by Him, how we treat others, and how we cope with the daily aspects of life. It's easy to focus on the negative, the obvious, or what's blatant; however, the possibility of change or the truth is often blurred. When we focus more on God, He can bring us peace to deal with the obvious and we can find the faith to accept possibilities. Let's pray for each other in this area... I know I could use more peace and focus...How about you?

People Need Peace

Romans 12:17-18 (NIV)

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

*At the end of the day, we decide how we plan to handle situations and how much we will let others effect us. There is no harm in reducing the amount of drama you choose to deal with, loving from a distance, or in an even greater capacity - adding peace to a situation when issues arise. God may even tell you to excuse yourself, but the idea is to come back and show love. When you can drop the attitude, and love in spite of, you have officially overcome human nature. Human nature wants you to be rude, smart mouth, cut people off, or assume everyone has a problem except you. Let's not think evil, seek vengeance, or assume what we haven't bothered to investigate and try to understand. Instead, let's ask God how to live in peace with all people and do the best we can to maintain that peace.

Relax and Trust God

Psalm 131 (NIV)
A song of ascents. Of David.

1 My heart is not proud, Lord,
    my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
3 Israel, put your hope in the Lord
    both now and forevermore.

*I am ready to calm down in order to find a solution, and heal from the hurt...

Brotherly Love

1 John 4:20-21 (ESV)

20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

*Transparency moment: Finding balance in this area can be hard at times. God loves us unconditionally, and is always there for us while people find faults, make accusations, and are fickle. Yet, we have to love them. That unconditional love that the Father has is something we have to consistently learn to use in order to find that love for people. It's so much easier to just classify folks and be done, but we have to ask ourselves is hating them or getting rid of them the solution to the problem? I'm not saying to put up with crap because you can love from a distance, and God doesn't want us dealing with unnecessary stress. What I'm saying is how it takes a lot to hate or dislike someone or a group, and often certain classifications stem from past hurts and experiences. Have we taken the time to evaluate or get to know someone well before we place an emotional value on them? Pray for me in this area as I will do for u...

Evaluation of the Truth

The truth will set you free...Just make sure you know the truth b4 allowing it to come out of your mouth. Often, assumptions are confused with what we believe to be right ...

The Strength of Faith

Hebrews 11:1 (ESV)

11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

*Building up enough faith to see beyond our current circumstances, in order to believe for better, can be challenging. However, building your faith starts with knowing your worth. When you KNOW how God sees you, and accept how precious you are then you will not settle for anything. You will receive knowledge of what He has promised you, and what He knows you are capable of... Don't settle for what you currently have or what you're use to, but strive for better by building your relationship with God and growing in Him in order to be prepared for greater...
