Actions vs Words

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1 John 3:18 NIV
Actions speak louder than words. If we never see any action from what a person has said,  it's safe to say they are lying. Utilizing words alone is a way to stall,  and try to throw people off. However, what is or isn't done reflects the validity of your words. Speak the truth, and hold your actions accountable.

Correction

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.

Proverbs 12:1 NIV

Lord,  help me to be humble when I am wrong and corrected. May the correction be done in love without malicious intent, and may my response be the same. Also, help me to correct others in your in your will.

Ever notice how people become attitude  prone when they are corrected,  as if what they say should go regardless of if it's wrong or right? There is pride behind that reaction, especially if others have been accepting to their demeanor or thoughts. Even with this reaction,  we must still be led on how we handle these people. We must also look to God on what to say or even how to say it. Also, for those who are accepting to poor behaviors, ask God to help you be strong enough to correct in love instead of ignoring the problem.

Lastly, be led on if you should correct it. Just because things are different from what you experience, doesn't mean that it's wrong. Let's be open to receiving wisdom, and understand how to give it as well.

Foundation of Humility

By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.

Proverbs 22:4 KJV

Humility is the foundation that upholds the promises of God. He knows what will make or break you, and what you are truly ready for...May God be sought after first, allowing the desires of our heart to follow. We must humble ourselves in order to be edified and prepared for the promises and expansions of life.

Consistency with God

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

Psalm 68:19 NIV

God is the only consistent individual that continues to stick by our side when humans may fail. He is always there to uplift and carry us through our concerns. He never gives up on us, and bares with us over and over again, while all the while giving us guidance on how to make changes. I'm so greatly I'm not alone, and I hope you know you aren't alone too...I just need to continue to talk with Him more, and cast my cares upon Him. That way, I can let go of the emotion from man and embrace the consistent love of God.

Humility and Truth

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

People would rather defend a lie in order to keep doing what they enjoy or are use to, instead of trying the truth and freeing themselves up for something new. People are often afraid of change and realness; therefore, they look for ways to justify lies in order to support complacency. We must remember to let go by humbling ourselves to the truth, admit there is a need for change, and open our hearts to the directions of the Father. How will you ever grow if you don't open your mind to embrace the unknown by faith, and let go of what has held you back? Make room for healing and correction in order to be prepared to support something new and greater....

Pre-worship

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16‭-‬18 NIV

All circumstances require an attitude of praise in order to see the good, and to remind us that we have the victory in the end. Jesus wants us to remember to be thankful and trust God by using our faith to see us through. He wants us to remember that He has already overcome the circumstance through His death and resurrection, and now we just have to take advantage of the line of communication in order to receive guidance. When we approach Him for guidance, we must give Him praise that He is with us and willing to help us. I personally have to remember to glorify Him in advance, no just wait on the "after" because it depicts that I trust Him. My praise could use more pre-worship...What about yours?

Sowing

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Galatians 6:7‭-‬8 NIV

It's not just what you sow that's important, but the reason behind your sowing. You can do all the right things, but be doing it out of trying to impress or fit in. You can also hold back, despite what God has placed on your heart. Neither of these is from a pure heart of giving. God loves cheerful giver, and He wants us to share from the heart. This is why man looks at the outside and the action, but God looks at the heart and the motive. May God help us not to sow for selfish gain; instead, may it come out of love, and a desire to represent Him. May what we sow and reap be a continuous chain of love, and not be done out of obligation or for bragging rights.

Your Mouth

Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.

Proverbs 13:3 NIV

May our words reflect God's word and what He places in our spirit, instead of reflecting our feelings or opinions. Many times we speak on a whelm without knowing the facts, or to discuss things we shouldn't. Sure, if something bothers you , you should express. However, from experience, there is a thin line between gossip and relinquishing frustrations. May God govern our words, especially during times of frustration.

Love Conquers All

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 36:26 NIV

It's so easy to harden your heart in order to protect yourself. Some of us do this due to our experiences, or because of poor treatment or lack of others' inability to respect or understand you. Trust me, I get it because I have experienced this lately. However, we can't allow the ignorance of others to shut off our ability to love because there are people out there who need your love, and you need there's. God's heart always stays open for us no matter how we treat Him because He is waiting on you get rid of your old ways, and love Him back. Love conquers all, and softens even the hardest of hearts, while causing healing. Help restore someone with the love of God, and in turn watch how you become restored as well.

Anxiety

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6‭-‬7 NIV

Being anxious is a branch of anxiety that creeps up in the spirit, and causes pressure and even the desire to escape. We become anxious for change when we are extremely tired of people and things...You may even feel that need to loose the pressure by going off on God's people, especially those who misjudge or do not try to understand. However, the outcome of pressure and anxiety only causes suffering, which hinders yourself. I want to be set free from it's control, and I pray you do too. Therefore, let's work on letting go and letting God handle things, and if you are a person who causes anxiety for others, think about the seed you are sowing. Peace makers aren't mediators or mess carriers, but are led by God when coming between His people and a problem.

Elohim

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Genesis 1:1‭-‬2 NIV

God is known as Elohim, the creator of all things...Take a moment to think about all He has created, from the birds in the air to the different elements that make up the beauty and positivity of the Earth. Since Elohim is that creative to develop different elements for us to enjoy, why do we fret about things we believe do not currently exist for us? Do we enjoy God's creations daily and honestly think that He is incapable of creating a job, wife, husband, circumstance, or anything else your heart desires? Our God is all powerful, and creates something from nothing; therefore, why do we work so hard to create things ourselves? Sit back, and be patient while the expert develops you and the right things for you...Just make your desire known.

Speaking in Love

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Ephesians 4:15 NIV

We shouldn't be afraid to tell someone the truth, if we do it the right way. It's all about how you say things. Walking in love helps keep the situation stay calm, and helps people take in what we have to say. Notice the aggravation that occurs when things are done in rage or out of spite. Doing things in love helps facilitate peace, and opens the door for understanding. We all need to work on how we come off, especially if we let anger get the best of us. Love now to create peace later, even if you are loving from a distance....
