Renewing of the Mind Includes Re-doing Your Lifestyle

2 Corinthians 5:17-18
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation...

*I'm sure some of u are familiar with the above verses, especially if your church has discussed the particulars regarding being renewed through Christ. However, if u are a believer or exploring the idea, do u really know what these verses mean to u? God is giving u the ability to wipe the slate clean on every level! If u have asked God to sincerely come into your heart and save u, not only are your sins wiped away, but so are your old ways of thinking and doing things. We all are transitioning during our walk with God, and we continue to grow. Being new within this walk encompasses new possibilities of obtaining the desires of your heart; therefore, the way u thought something was going to come about or occur will be completely different from what u expected. Just because u are unable to fathom a way out, doesn't mean that all possibilities have been exhausted because through God all thing are possible (Matt. 19:26). Your way of approaching tasks on Earth, developing friendships, excelling in your career, and even dating have new possibilities and potentials that u have never experienced. I think a lot of us are desiring to be saved or have been saved, but we bring in old habits and ways of thinking into our saved life. This may include dating multiple people or keeping secrets while in a relationship; looking to excel in a career by starting from the bottom or pursuing different levels, when u may receive the the opportunity for extensive promotions immediately; or even still adhering to that hustle mentality when God promises to guide u (Prov. 3:5-6) and supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19). Let's not become trapped by our old ways, but embrace new possibilities with the evolving walk with Christ.
