Prayer

John 14:6 (ESV)

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

* Jesus is our advocate, and presents our prayers to the Father each time we pray. We are able to come boldly to God's thrown because of the love and sacrifice of Jesus, which purifies our requests in order to make them known. There is no reason to think our prayers are not heard because they are covered with the love of Jesus, as He lifts as a sweet offering to God. We never pray to Jesus, but we go through His authority when we close out the prayer in His name, allotting clarification from God. Whatever the desire or circumstance, don't be afraid to pray to the Father because through the love of Jesus and your willing heart to reach out, your prayer will be answered. All we have to do is get in line with God's word, and believe we receive as depicted by His promises.

Weary Pep Talk

Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

*There are times when the flesh wants to throw in the towel, and it gets old being the bigger person or opening your heart for the sake of God's love to impact others...You may even feel drained, and the favor being returned may feel as though it's nonexistent. However, it's these times that we must remember why we are doing things, which is for God, and not for accolades from people. God will use people to bless you, but it may not come in the form you expect or at the time you desire. Therefore, look at your good works as part of your ministry and a tax return that will allow you to catch a big break. Also, remember it is ok to take a break and fill yourself up with positivity and motivation to help you during the dry seasons, but please never give up. There are a lot of evil things that put forth effort daily, and someone somewhere needs your light and YOUR specific thoughts to light their path in the darkness. You are chosen, so carry out His love with the expectation of return and the ability to place your personal stamp of delivery as you disseminate.

Staying in Peace

Psalm 119:165 (NIV)

165 Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

*Sometimes things happen that turn our world upside down, and may even cause us to reevaluate life and our circumstance. However, these are the times that we need to be in God's word more to avoid giving up, and following it to keep our peace and hope of His promises. Even when you feel like you are barely holding on, hold on tight to His word, and be open to what God is trying to show you. May we always find peace no matter the situation or circumstance, and may we act as love and guide people towards peace when we can...

Focus on the Good

Philemon 1:7 ESV

For I have derived much joy and comfort from your love, my brother, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you.

*One thing God is showing me is to see things and people for what they are, and be thankful for the positive while avoiding dwelling on the negative. Much joy and comfort can be found when our focus is on the positive aspects and love provided verses dwelling on what's missing. There is always someone sent to overshadow who was not sent, and the love from that experience should refresh our minds and settle in our hearts as this is what we can enjoy verses what or who we have no control over. Let go, and let God replace who or what you thought you were missing with who or what you truly needed during each season of your life.

Humility with Christ

1 Peter 5:6 (ESV)

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you...

*Humility often requires that we are accepting to another's suggestion for improvement. We must learn to be humble enough to admit when we have a problem, and open for suggestions on how to fix it. God is the one who is trying to show us where we fall short in order to clean us up, and prepare us for the next level that He is trying to take us to...BUT, we must be willing to humble ourselves to being edified by the information He provides through different sources including some people. God wants to bless us and help us rise, but He wants you to completely surrender and let Him have His way in your life... Even if it is giving up things that hinder us and keep us from fully letting go with Him. Don't settle for the bare minimum or a mediocre life. Humble yourself for the specific reconstruction that He has for you in order to be blessed and prepared for what you've always wanted...Let go and let God...

Love Walk

1 John 2:12 (ESV)

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.

*God loves you, and He is more forgiving than your average individual. Therefore, try not to loop him in the same category in thinking that He holds things against. He wants to show His love, and aid you in improving things that need to be fixed in our lives. If we understand His love, than it will help us love and forgive others. Love is definitely a work in progress in understanding and receiving. Let's go deeper in the process together, and begin by reflecting on how we want others to love us and treat them as such. This is the love God displays when forgiving you of your sins.

Words of God vs False Wisdom

Matthew 7:15 (ESV)

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

*Just because someone has a word for you, it does not mean they were designed to speak into your life. Sometimes people think they hear from God, but are spewing forth opinions of the flesh; Other times, people are sent on an assignment to throw off your dreams or thought process as you get closer to your blessing. If someone is meant to give you a word from God, He has or will speak to you too. He will also provide confirmation and peace. Always follow that peace, pray, and be honest with yourself when you believe you have encountered a sign or wonder. You often have wisdom on the inside of you to detect whether or not that is the truth. Know the difference between what you are making it out to be, and what God is really saying about  person or situation. Sometimes we want things to happen so badly that we are willing to accept any information obtained, even though we are fully aware of the truth. Ask God about words that are spoken and themes that are provided before embracing the cause and information. Also, be careful as to what you say to others. Our fleshly opinions can cause discouragement of a life time. Speak the word only.
