Heavenly Thoughts vs Earthly Chasing

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:19‭-‬20 NIV

*Being  focused  on heavenly  thoughts concerning  God's  will are guaranteed to produce  benefits  on earth and in heaven. However,  our minds should  be centered on heavenly  thoughts  to make sure we are chasing  after the right thing. Chase God...the rest will follow.

Kindness

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:16 NIV

*No matter the situation, our ability to impact others positively will conquer all.  We have to learn to ignore how we feel about people, and focus on doing God's will.

Pleasing God

for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 NKJV

*God works in us for His will, but also for His enjoyment. You are pleasing God when you are on the path that He placed you on vs doing your own thing. Stay covered by God, and in His good graces...He is worth it!

Focusing Your Heart and Mind

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:1‭-‬2 NKJV

*I am truly asking God to help us all set out minds in the things above, which are things that are sent from Him, vs focusing on the troubles of this world. There is so much that is put out there to distract us from what God is telling us, and what we should be doing. Lord, help us to focus no matter what we feel and see in the natural.

Patience and Peace in God

For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4 NKJV

*Sometimes you need to be reminded pf that hope, especially in are world that is filled with selfishness and has been desensitized. You even need the reminder that you are unique and wonderfully made when you feel like no one gets you. Thank God for being in our corner, and being aware of this revelation. Many aren't, which causes them to give up sooner.

Stewardship Over the Small Things

His Lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’ Matthew 25:23 NKJV

*God will test us with the little things in order to prepare us to handle bigger things. If we can't be trusted with what we have, what makes you think God will give more? Your faithfulness is dependent upon how you treat the little things that add up to be big ones.

Pleasing God

For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. Galatians 1:10 NKJV

*Thank God I am not here to please men because their minds are ever changing. I am here to please God who is the same yesterday, today, and evermore.
